CSE Receives RNL 2019 Award for FASTRAK Program

The College of Saint Elizabeth was named the 2019 recipient of the Lee Noel-Randi Levitz Retention Excellence Award (REA) presented by RNL®, leading provider of higher education enrollment management, student success and fundraising solutions.

The award recognizes CSE for its achievements in supporting student success and completion through FASTRAK, a literacy-intensive summer bridge program. Focused learning, peer mentorship and personal guidance from faculty and staff are the pillars of the program, which is now in its fourth year.

About the CASC

The mission of the Conklin Academic Success Center (CASC) at the College of Saint Elizabeth is to help students become independent, life-long learners by providing free, high-quality academic assistance to all students through one-on-one and small group tutoring in a wide range of content areas, as well as workshop presentations on study skills and learning strategies.

The CASC is also a resource for the academic community at large, including faculty and staff, for information on:

  • Learning styles;
  • Improving student motivation;
  • Enhancing student responsibility; and
  • Creating more effective assignments

Come to CASC! Our Center is located on the upper level of Mahoney Library. Our friendly staff welcomes all students. We offer tutoring in a variety of subjects by highly motivated, well trained tutors. In addition, students may also use our fully networked computers for research and word processing.

    ETS provides Education majors with all the PRAXIS information they need.
  • Khan Academy
    Khan Academy provides FREE, interactive tutorials and assessments in a variety of academic areas. This resource is particularly useful for strengthening arithmetic and algebra skills.
  • Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL)
  • TED Talks
    From general talks on time management or study skills, to talks specific to your course of study, TED Talks offer great academic support.
