Yolanda, a Music Major, participated in the Glee Club as a singer and accompanist while a student at CSE. She was also Editor of The Pelican, the College newspaper.

Bishop Fulton Sheen married Yolanda and her husband, Tom, in 1960, at St. Patrick's Cathedral. They have six children, and all four of the girls went to CSE.

Yolanda received two Masters degrees and an Ed.D., with honors, from Columbia University. She has taught piano in her home studio for 37 years, and she has been the organist and choir director at every parish in which she has lived.

From 1983-85 she was supervisor and coordinator of the Community Music Center at 29 Columbia University. Yolanda has given music therapy to psychiatric patients, and was a member of the League to Aid Retarded Children.

Yolanda has served as President of CSE's Alumnae Association, and she chaired the annual Fashion Show for seven years. She received the Mother Xavier Award in 1996.

The love and spiritual atmosphere at CSE strengthened my Catholic faith and made me eager to serve the Church and others."
