Morristown, N.J. (January 7, 2019) – Heather Jenkins, '20, is used to saving lives. She's worked as an EMT for seven years, been trained in Emergency Medical Operations by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and was a member of an intensive care transport unit that tended to newborns. Now, CSE has offered this Southern California native a new way to save lives – nutrition.

"Nutrition is extremely important to general health and wellness," says Heather. She currently works as a dietary aide for Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Chester, N.J., but ultimately plans to become a pediatric Registered Dietitian.

Heather feels the College's foods and nutrition program provided her with a clear vision and focus for her future.

"The Foods and Nutrition faculty value professionalism, creativity, respect and understanding," says Heather. "Having these qualities will not just make me a better Registered Dietician but someone who genuinely wants to make a difference in the health profession."

Upon completing her coursework, Heather will be the first member of her family to graduate from college.
