Morristown, N.J. (September 10, 2019) – The College of Saint Elizabeth was named to U.S. News & World Report's new list of "Top Performers for Social Mobility – Regional Universities North" for 2020. CSE tied for second place among private New Jersey schools on the list.

The social mobility ranking focuses on how well schools address graduation rates of Pell-awarded students, those typically coming from households with family incomes less than $50,000 annually. The ranking measures a college or university's ability to move students up the ladder in terms of economic opportunity and within or between social strata.

"Social mobility is not only important for our students, but for the economic growth and stability of society. For 120 years, the College of Saint Elizabeth has been a supportive environment where students can reach educational success regardless of economic background," said Helen J. Streubert, president of the College of Saint Elizabeth. "We are proud to create future leaders by giving them experiences through which they can grow, thrive and succeed."

College of Saint Elizabeth recently ranked among the top schools in the 2019 Washington Monthly listings for "Best Bang for the Buck - Northeast" and "Best Master's Universities" and was again listed on Money magazine's "Best Colleges". Also, in 2019, CSE was the only college in New Jersey to be featured on TheBestSchools.org's "50 Best Online Master of Nutrition Degree Programs!"
