Morristown, N.J. (September 27, 2019) – The third annual Beloved Community Tri-Campus March for Peace kicked off September 19 at the front of Holy Family Chapel with a nearly 100-strong contingent from CSE leading the way. Students, faculty, staff and Sisters of Charity participated in the march that begins at CSE picking up students and others from both Fairleigh Dickinson University and Drew University.

CSE students from campus clubs and organization carried flags, posters and banners. CSE athlete Alex Nunez, '23, said he was marching "because we are all brothers and sisters and we all want peace everywhere." Shania Griffin, '20, a member of the CSE Business Club, added that "peace is important to the economy because we can do more business when cultural and communications barriers are removed."

The march is a collective campus and community expression of solidarity, unit and peace honoring Martin Luther King Jr.'s notion of a "Beloved Community." For the past two years, the march has been held near the recognition of the United Nations' International Day of Peace, which falls on September 21.
