INFORMATION FOR FRESHMEN APPLICANTS

The College of Saint Elizabeth reviews applications on a rolling basis.

To be considered for an academic scholarship, it is recommended that full-time students apply by March 1 for fall admission or November 1 for spring admission. Letters of acceptance are usually mailed within two weeks of receipt of all required documents.

Part-time students may apply up until the first date of classes of the semester in which they plan to enroll.

Required Credentials

  1. Application Form including a personal statement or essay. A non-refundable application fee of $35 should accompany the application form.
  2. School Records - Official transcripts of all work from 9th through 11th grades as well as grade 12 courses in progress.
  3. Two Recommendation Letters. One from a guidance counselor, one from a teacher. Additional letters from coaches, advisers or employers are optional.
  4. Official SAT or ACT results. The College of Saint Elizabeth's SAT CEEB code is 2090 and the ACT Code is 2546.

Requirements for Admission

Admission to the College of Saint Elizabeth is available to students of varied backgrounds, talents, interests and experience. Selection is based upon evidence of a strong academic foundation, scholastic ability and motivation, community service and leadership potential. The Committee on Admission will consider the level of courses taken, as well as the grades earned.

Admission to the First Year Class

Your high school program should consist of a minimum of 16 academic units including.

  • English (3 units)
  • College Preparatory Math and/or Science (3 units)
  • American History (1 unit)
  • Foreign Language (2 units in the same language)
  • Other College preparatory courses (7 units may include English, Social Science, Math or Foreign Language courses.)

Standardized Test Scores

The average combined SAT score for incoming freshmen ranges from 950 - 1150. Students with strong SAT scores who also have a 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average in a high school college preparatory program will be eligible to receive one of CSE's academic scholarships.
