Theology

CSE: Right for Me, Mark Tosso '17

Mark Tosso, a 2017 graduate with a master's in theology, believes that CSE helped him grow both academically and personally. He identifies strongly with CSE's motto"God is love" and believes love is always the solution. Mark currently works as a Youth Minister for Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Mendham, NJ. Program Offerings

The Graduate Theology Program offers four distinct tracks for the M.A. in Theology, as well as several non-degree opportunities at the graduate level. Through the broad curriculum, as well as the Traditional and Low Residency options, students have tremendous flexibility to shape their program to fit their interests and needs. Through critical analysis, Graduate Theology students develop an in-depth knowledge of the core areas of theology, inclusive of Christian thought and praxis.

Graduate

M.A. in Theology – Traditional Option

1. Choice of Four M.A. Tracks: Theological Studies, Catholic Studies, Spirituality, Pastoral Care
2. Flexibility of schedule: campus, offsite location, and fully online options
3. Practical and vocational knowledge for clergy, chaplains, and religious educators

Graduate Certificates

Catholic Studies

1. Consists of 15 graduate credits
2. Intended for students who wish to learn more about the rich spiritual and intellectual tradition of the Roman Catholic Church
3. May be taken alone or in combination with the M.A. in Theology program

Pastoral Care

1. Consists of 15 graduate credits
2. Provides theological foundations for students who work in helping professions such as hospitals, nursing homes and other settings where the combined skills in theology and counseling are required.
3. May be taken alone or in combination with the M.A. in Theology program
