When should I apply to the School of

Applications are accepted at any time. Accepted students
may begin at the start of any semester including Summer

Does the School of Graduate and Continuing
Studies accept men as students?

All of the programs of the School of Graduate and Continuing
Studies are co-educational except the traditional daytime
classes that are only open to women. All evening/weekend
majors including nursing and all certificate and special
programs are open to both adult men and women.
How
many transfer credits does the College of Saint Elizabeth
accept?

Students with an earned Associate of Arts or an Associate
of Science degree from an approved transfer program from
county colleges in New Jersey, Berkeley College and from
Thomas A. Edison College can transfer all credits to the
College of Saint Elizabeth, including grades of "D",
and they are granted junior class standing. Also, up to
a maximum of 72 credits may be transferred from accredited
colleges, universities, business schools, and institutions
as long as the student attains C or better.
How many courses can I take if I work
full-time?

It is recommended that students who work full-time enroll
in a maximum of three courses (9 credits) each semester.
Since there are three semesters, three summer sessions and
an intersession in the Evening/Weekend program, students
can quickly progress toward the completion of their degrees.
Matriculated part-time students are required to take at
least 11 credits per year (including summer sessions) to
remain in good academic standing.
May I take a course as a non-matriculated
student?

All adult men and women who are high school graduates or
who have earned a high school equivalency diploma, can be
admitted to the College as part-time, non-matriculated students
to take a course(s) on a space available basis. Tuition
and fees are the same as for matriculated part-time students.
Visiting students may also audit any course as space permits.
