CSE in 3rd Place After Day 1

The Screaming Eagles swim team sits just 11 points behind Wells College after day 1 of the NEAC Championships.

The relay team of Veronica Lubsen, Jennifer Scully, Ashley Sicsko, and Maria Corall got things going with a 3 place finish in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:54.99. Alexandra Budd followed that up with a 7th place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 6:07.91, adding 7 points to CSE's total.

Maria Corall added a 2nd place finish in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:23.18. Budd also added a 4th place finish in the same event with a time of 2:34.67. Corall and Lubsen finished with a 4th place and a 6th place finish in the 50 freestyle. Corall's time of 27.07, and Lubsen's time of 27.28 was good enough to add 20 points to CSE's total.

The relay team of Sicsko, Budd, Corall, and Lubsen finished the night off with a second place finish in then 400 medley relay with a time of 4:34.14. CSE finished with 120 points, just 11 points behind Wells College and 7 points behind Gallaudet University.

Saturday's finals will continue at 6 P.M. at Cazenovia College.
