Morristown, N.J. - The College of Saint Elizabeth athletic department will be announcing a Screaming Eagle Student-Athlete of the Week Award. This award will go to the student-athlete who has excelled athletically for the week prior and is in good academic standing.
The Screaming Eagle Student-Athlete of the Week award is presented to freshman Katie Cooper for the week ending on September 5, 2011. In her first game of the season Cooper totaled eight kills, two serving aces and 10 digs against Cedar Crest. Cooper single-handedly kept the Eagles in the mix against William Paterson with an outstanding 18 kill, six dig performance.
Cooper broke the College of Saint Elizabeth’s record for total kills in a three set match. She is now second in total kills in a match and third in attacking percentage.
