By all accounts, October 11, 2012, was a perfect day for golf as golfers manned their carts and took off across the course at the Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club in Livingston, N.J. The annual event raises funds for College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) student scholarships.
The format was a scramble, allowing for players of all skill levels to participate. The fee included a golf cart, green fees, range balls, a buffet brunch, a cocktail and dinner reception, and every participant received a tee prize. The event ended at the clubhouse with a silent auction, and raffles for cash and prizes.
Says one golfer of his foursome, “We had a great day. We didn’t golf well, but we had a lot of fun.”
While the participants enjoyed a day of fun and camaraderie, they were contributing to the future of many CSE students, and their generosity was noticed and appreciated. Says honor student and history major Nicole Rizzuto, ’13, “Your support is essential for so many students. I know for myself that I would not have been able to attend college without my scholarship. On behalf of all CSE scholarship recipients, I thank you for your dedication to providing opportunities that otherwise would not be available to us.”
“I am grateful for all the experiences that I have had throughout my college career - experiences that would not have been possible without your support.”
