Approximately 240 alumnae/i paid the College of Saint Elizabeth a visit when Alumnae/i Association hosted the Annual Homecoming Weekend from Friday, June 8 to Saturday, June 9, 2012. The weekend brought together alumnae/i from a range of years, including members of the Class of 1962 and Class of 1987 who celebrated their 50th and 25th anniversaries, for an event filled two days.
On Friday, an Alumnae/i College Lecture Series that featured Dr. Johanna Glazewski,’61, Sister Kathleen Flanagan,’65, and Dr. Gwen-Marie Moolenaar,’62, took place from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on the first floor of Santa Rita Hall. The Homecoming Summer Party, “Welcome Back to CSE,” followed from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., in the Annunciation Center.
Saturday, June 9, began with a “State of the College Address” given by CSE President Sister Francis Raftery in the Victorian Room of the Madison Hotel from 10 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. The Alumnae/i Tribute Reception and Luncheon immediately followed from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., also held in the hotel’s Glynallyn Ballroom. Class photographs were taken at the reception.
After the luncheon, alumnae gathered according to their class into hospitality receptions, and the Class of 1967 attendees were honored at a champagne reception, hosted by Sister Francis. Then, after attending Afternoon Tea in the Shakespeare Garden, a CSE tradition, they processed to Holy Family Chapel for Mass. Homecoming ended with a cocktail party in Santa Rita Hall, while the Class of 1962 celebrated their 50th anniversary at a reception and dinner in the Madison Hotel.
