Corall kicks to a pair of victories; William Paterson tops CSE swimming

PATERSON, N.J. -- CSE sophomore Maria Corall picked up two individual victories as the Screaming Eagles closed out its first semester dual meet schedule at William Paterson on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers (6-3) picked up the non-conference victory by an overall score of 107-77. CSE dropped to a 1-4 record in dual meet action.

Corall cruised to an easy win in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:24.63 and two events later won 
the 100 yard freestyle in 58.33. King found herself at the wall first in the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:50.80 while teammate Shannon Tipton rolled in third place (6:53.71).

Earlier in the meet, King was narrowly out-raced in the 200 yard freestyle, finishing second with a time of 2:11.27. Tipton also picked up a second-place finish, timing in 1:15.20 over 100 yards in the backstroke. Sophomore Jennifer Scully also swam to a strong second place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.87.

The Screaming Eagles' next meet will be in Washington, D.C. at Conference opponent Gallaudet University on Sat., Jan. 19 at 1 p.m.
