Class of 2012 Doctoral Students Honored at Academic Hooding Ceremony, May 8, 2012

Fifteen students who earned their doctorate in educational leadership (Ed.D.) were honored on May 8, 2012, at an academic hooding ceremony - a tradition marking their scholarship and professional achievement. Academic hoods, in the traditional colors of navy and light blue for a doctorate in education, were presented to the following:
- Pauline Anderson of West Milford, N.J. Dissertation: “Grade-Span Configuration and School-to-School Transitions.”
- Natalie Betz of Denville, N.J. Dissertation: “Tides of School Reform: A Case for Servant Leadership.”
- Patricia Bryant of Jersey City, N.J. Dissertation: “Instructional Practices to Support Pre-K English Language Learners.”
- Sr. Elizabeth Seton Dalessio of West Long Branch, N.J. Dissertation: “The Effects of Online Education on the At-Risk Student in an Alternative School Setting.”
- Albert Del Principio of Stony Point, N.Y. Dissertation: “The Effects of Bullying on Student Academic Performance.”
- Tamika DePass Pipkin of Rochelle Park, N.J. Dissertation: “Personalized Learning for the At-Risk through Intervention & Referral Services.”
- Marisa M. King of Chestnut Ridge, N.Y. Dissertation: -“21st Century Teaching & Learning: Are Teachers Prepared?”
- Christine H. Lopez of Edison, N.J. Dissertation: “It Takes a Community: Professional Development Strategies to Support Inclusion in a Catholic High School.”
