Grant shoots the lights out -- literally -- CSE hoops game suspended after power outage
MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- Junior Cheyenne Grant shot the lights out in the first half on Wednesday night in North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball action at St. Joseph's Hall.

Grant drilled seven 3-pointers in the first 20 minutes of action to give the Screaming Eagles a 37-27 advantage over visiting Penn State-Abington.

Then at five minutes to eighth o'clock -- just before CSE was going to honor another sharpshooter, Sabrina Jarmolinksi '12 -- the lights in St. Joseph's Hall went dark. It was the second power outage in nearly two hours as heavy rain and blustery conditions circle North Jersey.

After a discussion, administration and the officials suspended the action and deemed the game be resumed at a later date for the final 20 minutes of action.

The planned halftime ceremony where a banner bearing Jarmolinski's No. 23, hung alongside the eight other 1,000 point scorers in Saint Elizabeth basketball history, was to be unfurled will also be re-scheduled for a later date.

Please check back at the CSE athletics website or follow the department on Twitter (@CSEAthletics) for updates.

The Screaming Eagles are on the road this weekend for a pair of NEAC battles - at Wells on Saturday before a trip to Cazenovia on Sunday.
