Congratulations to Ashley Mulit on receiving the New Jersey Dietetic Association’s Student Initiative Award at the NJDA Annual Meeting in New Brunswick on May 4th. Ashley is currently in the College of Saint Elizabeth’s Dietetic Internship Program with focus in Food and Nutrition Business and Communications. Ashley was well deserving of this award as she helped launch the CSE Dietetic Internship Facebook page and assisted in contacting local businesses to donate to the NJDA Annual Meeting fundraising raffle for student scholarships.
Ashley has expressed her professional goal to strengthen the movement against the escalating obesity epidemic from within the food industry. She plans to further her education in a doctoral program in food science. She will help the food industry develop products that provide busy consumers with foods that are convenient, delicious and healthy. Her goal is to work with one of the many food companies in New Jersey and serve as a liaison between the food science and nutrition and dietetics industries
