CSE Swimming Notches First Win of the Year over Cedar Crest

The Screaming Eagles jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they defeated Cedar Crest 102-61 on Tuesday.

CSE took the first 11 points when the relay team of Jennifer Scully, Caitlin Potter, Carleigh Gallardo, and Alesandra DeSapio finished in a time of 2:40.76 taking the race. The Eagles continued to rack up the points when Alexandra Budd won the 200 IM in a time of 2:38.64. Ashley Siscko added a second place finish in the same event with a time of 2:45.42.

In event 6, the 100 butterfly, CSE once again took first and second place when Scully edged out Gallardo with a time of 1:10.82 to add 13 points to the total.  Siscko added another victory in the 100 yard backstroke when she finished with a winning time of 1:12.05. The next event was dominated by CSE once again, as Budd and Veronica Lubsen finished first and second respectively in the 500 yard freestyle.

The last race consisted of the 200 yard freestyle. The relay team of Veronica Lubsen, Alexandra Budd, Ashley Sicsko, and Maria Corall took home the win with a time of 1:54.16. CSE clinched the win in decisive fashion, winning their first match of the season 102-61.

The Eagles return to action on December 6th when they participate in the Drew invitational.
