The College of St Elizbaeth's lacrosse team dropped a tough game at Cazenovia, 15-10 on Sunday.
Nicole Rios quickly gave the Eagles an early, scoring the first goal of the game just 43 seconds in. Cazenovia added back to back goals before Christina Rios tied the score up at 2. The Wildcats scored the next 3 goals to take a 5-2 lead with 10 minutes remaining in the half. Nicole Rios and Brianna Fedorich each added a goal before the break, as CSE found themselves trailing 7-4 at half.
In the second half, Dana Mortensen and Kelly O'Dell scored back to back goals to get the Eagles to within 9-6. Cazenovia wouldn't allow the Eagles to get any closer as they scored the next 3 goals to go up by 6. O'Dell and Fedorich added another goal each to help bring the Eagles to within 4. Mortensen and Amanda Inacio each added a goal for the Eagles, but it was not enough as CSE fell 15-10 to Cazenovia.
The Eagles return to action for their first home game of the season on Tuesday at 4 pm as they host Lancaster Bible.
