Emelda Phillip of Essex County, N.J., Defends Doctoral Dissertation

Morristown, N.J. (April 12, 2017) – Emelda Phillip of Essex County, N.J., has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation at the College of Saint Elizabeth to earn a Psy.D. in Counseling Psychology. Her dissertation is titled, "Stress and the Superwoman Schema in Women of African Descent."

The Psy.D. program, started in 2013, is a four-year, 88-credit full -time program offered in a supportive cohort learning model. Of the total 88 credits, 15 credits may be completed by students through required courses in their master's programs and transferred into the Psy.D. program.
