Morristown, N.J. (October 17, 2014) – Rebecca Mitchko, '15, took the traditional route to the College of Saint Elizabeth campus – starting by meeting a CSE admissions representative at her high school – Hunterdon Central Regional High School – four years ago.
"As it turns out, we talked for more than an hour about what CSE has to offer ... I fell in love with the possibilities."
Now completing her senior year as a dual philosophy/English major, Rebecca is thrilled with her choice of CSE.
"It has worked out great ... I'm staying here for the professors," she said. "They know me as a person as well as a student ... they encourage me ... It's so much fun."
She especially likes the attention to her writing, something she would like to turn into a career down the road – either as a published author, college professor, or both.
Mitchko's campus experience extends beyond the classroom. She is vice president of her class, vice president of the philosophy club, a peer advisor for the freshman class, a writer/editor for the school newspaper, The Station, an editor for the literary magazine, The Sector, and a student aide in the Holocaust Center.
"You have to stay involved in campus activities ... it's a community. If you don't, you're missing out." said Mitchko. "CSE will be your family ... your home away from home."
