College of Saint Elizabeth Names Advancement Officer

Morristown, N.J. (January 27, 2017) – Lisa Marie Gerondeau of Whippany, N.J., has been named Advancement Officer at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J. In this newly-created position, she will focus on relationship building and donor cultivation as well as stewardship activities to increase support for annual, major and planned gifts to the College.

Gerondeau comes to the College from Drew University where, as director of theological advancement, she deepened relationships with alumni, friends, and donors, and grew the entire fundraising program for the Theological School. She increased alumni participation in annual giving for the first time in a decade, and brought in major gifts to help fund curricular redesign and a new era in the life of the seminary.

She began her fundraising career with the Catholic Church, contributing to the success of the $80 million Partners in Faith Capital and Endowment Campaign for the Diocese of Paterson in New Jersey. As director of planned giving, she developed the legacy giving program for the diocese, working closely with parishioners and pastors in the more than 100 parishes in Morris, Passaic, and Sussex Counties to encourage lifetime gifts for the future of the Catholic Church and its ministries.

Prior to her career in fundraising, Gerondeau worked as a writer and communications professional in both corporate and not-for-profit settings, including tenures as a senior writer for Prudential Retirement and a director of communications for MetLife.

Gerondeau holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Virginia. She has been worshipping at Holy Family Chapel with the Sisters of Charity for more than a decade. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, swimming, and cheering on the Whippany Park High School Marching Band in which her daughter performs as a member of the color guard.
