Acceptable Use Policy

E-mail Services

The College of Saint Elizabeth provides e-mail services to College staff, faculty and students for the purpose of supporting academic and administrative functions. The following information and policies apply to all College e-mail services and their use.

  • All e-mail data stored on the College servers or on third party mail servers managing CSE e-mail is the property of the College of Saint Elizabeth.
  • The College respects the privacy of users' e-mail, however, access to e-mail data may be granted to law enforcement agencies to assist in an investigation. Access may also be granted for the College's Human Resource department with the written approval of a College Vice President or the College President.
  • Deletion of e-mail messages may not remove all traces of the message.
  • The College is not liable for lost or deleted e-mail.
  • Sending excessive e-mail messages to fill users' disk space or to annoy users is prohibited.
  • The use of e-mail to send or forward material unrelated to College business is prohibted. This includes, but is not limited to: advertisements, stories, jokes, chain letters or unsolicited commercial e-mail.
  • The College provides several global mail lists for targeting messages to staff, faculty and students. These mail lists are solely for the purpose of distributing important information relating to service outages, early closings, health or security threats, and so forth.
    Student e-mail account will be deleted one year after graduation if the account shows no recent activity.
  • E-mail accounts are provided for current students, faculty, staff and long term contractors.
