Parking Decals

Parking Decals & Vehicle Registration

The CSE security office issues all parking decals and photo ID cards on campus for students, faculty and staff members.  Here’s what you have to do to get a parking decal:

  1. Click on this link www.cse.edu/parkingdecals which will take you to the online vehicle registration form for a parking decal.  Follow the online form directions.
  2. Once your vehicle information is submitted you can pick-up your decal at the Security Office in Henderson Hall, Lower Level Room 24.

Remember to bring your CSE photo ID card or photo license.  This is required to pick-up your parking decal.  At the beginning of each semester, Continuing Education students and Adjunct Faculty should call the Security Office 973-290-4603 or 973-290-4290 to see when we offer extended hours.  Normal officer hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Once you have your new parking decal, please place it on the back of the rear view mirror, driver's side, facing the front of the car.  Please click here to view the photo of where the decal goes.  After the new decal is on, you can take the old decal off if you had one.

Parking rules and regulations can be found at this website www.cse.edu/dept/campus-security/parking-and-traffic.dot .  Commuter student parking is allowed in the large parking lots by Santa Maria, Annunciation Center and St. Joseph Hall. (See campus map)

Commuter student parking is not allowed in the Henderson, Santa Rita, O’Connor, Sisters of Charity and Resident Student gravel lots that are so marked.  Faculty and Staff members are not allowed to park in the Santa Rita visitor lot, O’Connor lot, gravel lots marked for Resident students only, and the Sisters of Charity lots.  These areas are closely monitored and illegally parked cars will be ticketed and possibly towed.

Photo ID

Photo ID’s for students, faculty, and staff are produced and issued by the Security Office, Room 24, on the lower level of Henderson Hall.  New ID’s are issued here as well as replacements for lost and for non-working access ones.  The ID system takes data from other college systems on campus.  This data plus a picture taken at the security office are the components that produce a Photo ID card for students, faculty and staff.  A Photo ID can be produced once this data is populated in the ID card system.

For new Photo ID’s, we recommend that you call in advance (973-290-4603) for an appointment and to make certain that all data has been processed in order to print the photo ID when you arrive at our office.  It is also suggested that you call in advance to replace a lost or non-working access ID card.  Parking decals are also issued from the Security Office for students, faculty and staff members.

(Please note: students will have $25.00 charged to their account to replace a lost or damaged photo ID)

Remember - A photo ID is absolutely required for borrowing from Mahoney Library and/or using inter-library services.
