Overnight Parking Procedure

Overnight Parking

Purpose:

This procedure allows the Security Office to be aware of authorized vehicles being left on campus overnight that belong to students, student guests, faculty or staff members parking personal vehicles on campus for a short period of time.

Scope:

This procedure outlines the requirements for notification when students, faculty and staff should contact the Security Office to register their vehicle (or student guest vehicle) being left on campus overnight.

Procedure:

Students, faculty and staff members must email the Security Department security@cse.edu prior to them or the student guest parking their vehicles on campus overnight for notification and registration purposes. Security will file the information provided about the driver and the vehicle for use during parking lot security patrols. This process will provide the security officers with a better identification of vehicles that are authorized to be on campus or those vehicles that are subject to ticketing and/or towing.

The information below must be included in the email:

  • Your name
  • Your status(student, student guest, faculty, staff)
  • Make, Model, Color, License Plate, and the CSE parking decal number
  • Overnight parking duration: Date From and Date To
  •

Designated parking areas for overnight vehicles are:

    - Faculty and staff should park in the lower level of the St. Joseph lot

    - Students and their visitors should park in the Annunciation Lot

Student guest vehicles that have registered with Security for overnight parking must vacate the campus by 10:00 am the next day or the guest’s car will be subject to towing. Vehicles left overnight with no prior notification to Security will be towed off campus at the owner's expense.
