Agnes Fitzpatrick Brovick '27
Mother Xavier Award 1965

       Agnes graduated summa cum laude, with a Major in History. She later received an M.S. degree from the Fordham University School of Social Service. She was a Commissioner of the Waterbury Housing Authority for fifteen years, serving as Treasurer for part of that time. Agnes was President of the Waterbury (CT) Council of Catholic Women. The Quota Club of Waterbury, Inc. - an international service club of executive-status women working in a business, professional, organizational, or governmental capacity - also made her its President. She was Chairperson of the Commission on Recruitment for Social Work of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. Agnes served as President of CSE's Alumnae Association from 1963-65, and she received the Mother Xavier Award in 1965. Agnes died on July 17, 1994.
