M. Dolores Bradley '29 Mother Xavier Award 1959
An English Major, Dolores pursued a career in banking. Employed in the Federal Trust office of the National State Bank in Newark, she performed secretarial duties and personnel work, and she was a frequent contributor to Number Fourteen, the Federal Trust quarterly. Dolores gave generously of her time to the national Alumnae Association and to its Essex County Chapter. Dolores was elected to the Board of Directors of the Alumnae Association and from 1952-55 served as Chairperson of the Alumnae Fund, which grew substantially under her stewardship. She also served as permanent representative of her Class on the Alumnae Association's Alumnae Council, and in 1955 she was elected to the College's Board of Trustees. She received the Elizabethan Award at the 60th anniversary convocation in 1959. That same year, Dolores received the Mother Xavier Award.
