CSE Representatives Embark on Humanitarian Mission to Dominican Republic

Faculty, students and volunteers from the College of Saint Elizabeth are heading off today, May 28, 2008, on an early morning flight to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, as part of an annual humanitarian mission to focus on health care in that country.

Capacity Crowd Attend CSE 16th Annual Spirituality Convocation, April 12

On Saturday, April 12, the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) held its 16th annual Spirituality Convocation in the Annunciation Center on campus.  Sponsored by the College’s Center for Theological and Spiritual Development, the College welcomed 560 guests in the Dolan Performance Hall. Participants at this year’s Convocation came from all across the tri-state area including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

CSE Holds Annual Spirituality Convocation in Both English and Spanish, April 12, 2008

On Saturday, April 12, 2008, the College will hold its 16th Annual Spirituality Convocation in Annunciation Center, on campus. Entitled “Gateways to the Fullness of Life,” the day’s keynote speakers and workshops will be offered in both English and in Spanish. Music for the prayer experiences of both convocations are being coordinated by renowned composer and pastoral musician Jaime Cortez.

600 Celebrate Dedication of CSE Annunciation Center, Sept. 8, 2007

The College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), Morristown, N.J., welcomed 600 attendees during its Annunciation Center Opening and Open House event. This new building is the College’s first arts and education building since its establishment in 1899 and the first building to be constructed on campus in more than four decades.

CSE Presents First Hispanic Catechetical Congress, Sept. 22, 2007

The Center for Theological and Spiritual Development (Center) at the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), 2 Convent Road, Morristown, N.J., will present its first state-wide Hispanic Catechetical Congress on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. in the College’s new Annunciation Center. This year’s Conference will be the first state-wide gathering of the Spanish-speaking Catechetical community in New Jersey.

CSE Dedicates Performing Arts Center, Sept. 8, 2007; Invites Public

The College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), during its 109th academic year, marks a magnificent moment in its history on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 2 p.m. Community members are invited to join CSE for an Open House and Dedication of Annunciation Center, CSE’s First Performing Arts Center since its establishment in 1899, and the first building to be constructed on the campus in more than 40 years.

Celebrating Community Investment: Donor Support for CSE Annunciation Center Makes a Difference in Student Lives, Local Community

This summer, when construction for the College of Saint Elizabeth’s (CSE), 2 Convent Road, Morristown, N.J., Annunciation Center is complete, CSE President Sr. Francis Raftery will not only take some personal satisfaction in the new building but will also thank donors for sharing with her the College’s vision of creating this fine liberal arts facility.

 

What began with a challenge gift of $1 million from the Dolan Family Foundation has now flourished into nearly $13 million raised by CSE faculty and employees, foundations and corporations, Sisters of Charity, trustees, and alums.

More than 250 people attended Saturday’s event which featured Father Rodriguez as keynote speaker. His presentation, entitled, “Widen the Flaps of Your Tent,” was an invitation to openness, graciousness, and to the acceptance of others.

CSE Pastoral Conference Offers Insight, Personal Development, Nov. 4, 2006

The Center for Theological and Spiritual Development is gearing up for its fourth annual Pastoral Conference at the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), 2 Convent Road, Morristown, NJ, on Saturday, November 4, 2006. Held at CSE Saint Joseph Hall Gymnasium from 9:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m., the central focus of the Conference each year is to concentrate on pastoral concerns in the life of faith and to offer insights for personal development and ministry. Dr. Jorge Diez, executive director of We Speak of Christ, Inc. and founder of the Association of Secular Latinos, will lead an opening prayer service for the Conference, including a hymn composed to commemorate the event. CSE Inaugural Event Fosters Family Practice of Religious Traditions

Approximately 400 lay people, teachers, catechists, and pastoral and liturgical ministers filled the gymnasium of Saint Joseph Hall on the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) campus at 2 Convent Road, Morristown, NJ, Friday - Saturday, September 29 - 30, 2006, for the first annual Fall Religious Education Conference. Entitled “Live and Teach Your Catholic Faith with Vision and Vitality,” the inaugural event explored pastoral ways in which faith communities pass on spiritual and religious traditions to children and families.

 

Known nationwide for its annual Spirituality Convocation and Summer Institute programs, the Center for Theological and Spiritual Development at CSE draws theologians and people of all faiths to the campus in a celebration of spirituality and cultural diversity.

The College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) will host its inaugural Fall Religious Education Conference, entitled “Live and Teach Your Catholic Faith with Vision and Vitality,” from Friday - Saturday, September 29 - 30, 2006 in Saint Joseph Hall Gymnasium on the College campus. Co-sponsored by the Center for Theological and Spiritual Development at CSE and Silver Burdett Ginn Religion (SBG), a religious publications company located in Parsippany, NJ both days will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m.
 

The cost for attending Friday’s inaugural event is $25 per person, $20 per person for groups of five or more (lunch included); Saturday’s cost is $20 per person (lunch not included).
