Renowned Author Margaret Wheatley to Speak at CSE, July 14

Margaret Wheatley, internationally acclaimed speaker, writer and teacher, will offer her views on the leadership changes needed in today’s turbulent world, during a lecture on Monday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Annunciation Center, the College’s Arts and Education building, at the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE). The event is free and open to the public. Capacity Crowd Attend CSE 16th Annual Spirituality Convocation, April 12

On Saturday, April 12, the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE) held its 16th annual Spirituality Convocation in the Annunciation Center on campus.  Sponsored by the College’s Center for Theological and Spiritual Development, the College welcomed 560 guests in the Dolan Performance Hall. Participants at this year’s Convocation came from all across the tri-state area including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

Award-Winning Poet Mark Doty Teaches Master Class, Reads Poetry at CSE

Award-winning poet and memoirist Mark Doty addressed students at an afternoon master class followed by an evening reading of his work at the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), on Monday, April 7, 2008. Mr. Doty’s visit to the College campus was sponsored by the CSE Sister Alice Lubin Fund and the 21st Century Fund.

Artist, Pastor Charlie Newton to Speak at CSE, March 25, 2008

Veteran artist and pastor from Chattanooga, Tenn., Charlie Newton will offer an informal presentation and discussion about his art work, discussing his dual role as an artist and pastor, and how both occupations influence each other on Tuesday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Dolan Performance Hall at the Annunciation Center at CSE. The evening’s affair is set to take place on the Feast of the Annunciation, which, in Christianity, celebrates the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would bear Jesus, the Son of God.

Do you have an interested in drawing; want to immerse yourself for a day sketching from live models, trying new drawing techniques, challenging yourself on the computer, or learning some beginning approaches to line and shading? CSE Hosts Adult Open House, March 19

On March 19th, the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies at the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), will host an Open House for all of its co-ed graduate and undergraduate programs for adults. In total, through its day-time women’s college, evening/weekend co-ed programs, and off-site locations, students can choose from nine graduate, 28 undergraduate and one doctoral program. Certificate programs are also available in teacher education and counseling psychology.

CSE Holds Annual Spirituality Convocation in Both English and Spanish, April 12, 2008

On Saturday, April 12, 2008, the College will hold its 16th Annual Spirituality Convocation in Annunciation Center, on campus. Entitled “Gateways to the Fullness of Life,” the day’s keynote speakers and workshops will be offered in both English and in Spanish. Music for the prayer experiences of both convocations are being coordinated by renowned composer and pastoral musician Jaime Cortez.

Artists Chong, Einstein and Grossman to Exhibit at CSE Until March 26, 2008

The College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), invites the public to its latest art exhibition currently open through March 26. The exhibit, entitled “Line, Gesture, Space,” features works by New York artists Ula Einstein and Naomi Grossman, and New Jersey artist Elaine Chong, assistant professor of Art at CSE.
