Dr. Patricia Schall Named Outstanding Educator of the Year
The New Jersey Council of Teachers of English (NJCTE) recognized Dr. Patricia L. Schall as the 2008 Outstanding Educator of the Year. NJCTE gives the award annually to “a dedicated, innovative, dynamic educator whose activities have significantly and widely impacted New Jersey English language arts education.”
As a result of this award, Dr. Schall was honored as a distinguished arts educator at the New Jersey Governor’s Arts Awards Ceremony on May 21, 2008. The event was held at the War Memorial Auditorium in Trenton, where she received one of the New Jersey Governor’s Awards in Art Education. The essay she wrote as a reflection on her work, “Teaching and All That Jazz,” will be published in the NJCTE newsletter, Focus.
Congratulations to Dr. Schall on both awards!
