Courtney Smolen Judges First MorristownGreen.com Film Festival

Move over Siskel…
CSE Communications Specialist Courtney Smolen served as a judge at the first annual MorristownGreen.com (MG) Film Festival, “Shorts on South Street,” on Tuesday evening, August 12, 2008.

Sponsored by The Star-Ledger and NJ.com, the festival was held outside St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
Audience members from around the area came to the event, bringing with them their blankets, beach chairs, and enthusiasm.
The festival kicked off at 7 p.m. with local music group, the Blaire Reinhard Band. At sundown the show began featuring 17 videos by area film-makers, featuring action, animation, comedy and drama. Film-makers included: Gregory Costanzo of Morris Plains; Elliott Ruga of Harding; and Jeremy Weiss of Summit, to name a few.
Mark and Ira Ehrenkranz of NY Film Critics Series in Morristown provided equipment and referrals for this year’s show.
In addition to her role at CSE, Ms. Smolen also serves as a MG blogger on behalf of the College.
