CSE Nursing Research Day a Huge Success

More than 300 nursing students gathered in the College of Saint Elizabeth (CSE), Morristown, N.J., Annunciation Center on October 24, 2007, to hear Dr. Robert Atkins, RN, Ph.D., speak on the effects of poverty on children’s health.

Dr. Atkins, a nurse in Camden, N.J., middle school and assistant professor at Rutger’s University, related his experiences with inner-city children. The program was aimed at helping health care professionals understand the special circumstances inner-city children face - both physical and mental.
