The College of Saint Elizabeth wishes to express its sorrow for the victims, their families and the entire Virginia Tech community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time. 

Campus security and safety is a critically important issue at the College of Saint Elizabeth.  The College is very committed to providing its students and employees with a safe place to work and study. 

The College has a very active Emergency Task Force that meets on a monthly basis and is charged with reviewing emergency protocols and plans.  These meetings often include table top drills for various types of emergencies.  Additionally, the Task Force oversees the ongoing communication regarding campus emergencies and to that end, Emergency Response Handbooks are found in every classroom, lounge, conference room and public area on campus. 

In response to yesterday’s tragedy at Virginia Tech, today’s daily liturgy held at the College will be in remembrance of the victims, their families and friends. We will also have members of the Emergency Task Force on hand to answer any questions from our students and employees.
