CSE Orientation: First Daily Record Morris County Event Video Footage
As nearly 200 first-time Women’s College students arrived on campus at this year’s CSE Orientation Week, the Daily Record, Morris County’s source for news, was right there covering the College’s official welcoming through a new lens for the print medium: the video camera.
Although the paper has implemented video coverage for news in the recent past, this is the first event that the Gannett newspaper has videographed in the Morris County area. According to Daily Record Reporter, Navid Iqbal, the College’s Orientation video footage is accessible through its website, www.dailyrecord.com.
First year CSE students were kept busy with a variety of activities during the three-day orientation event. Some events included students helping assemble 250 “Back to School” kits for K-8 grade students attending St. Rose of Lima in Newark, New Jersey, as part of their community service project. Kits included basic school supplies and a letter from CSE students encouraging kids to stay in school.
