The College of St Elizabeth swim team added 130 points to their total, putting them in 4th place after the 2nd day of the NEAC Championships.
Ashley Sicsko, Alexandra Budd, Maria Corall, and Veronica Lubsen kicked off the day with a 3rd place finish in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:04.46, adding 24 points to their total. Budd continued to rack up the points for the Eagles, adding a second place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 5:29.03.
Jennifer Scully added a second place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.93. Carleigh Gallardo also added a 6th place finish in the same event with a time of 1:19. Maria Corall had the highlight of the championships so far for CSE, winning the 200 yard freestyle and setting an NEAC Championship record in the process, with a time of 2:06.11.
Sicsko had a solid showing in the 100 backstroke, finishing in 3rd place with a time of 1:08.34. Caitlin Potter also added a 5th place finish in the same event, finishing with a time of 1:15.25. The final event of the night was the 800 freestyle relay. Coach Lennon made a late switch to the relay team, adding Lubsen, Scully, Siscko, and Corall. The team ended up proving Lennon made the right decision, finishing in 2nd place with a time of 9:07.27.
CSE currently sits in 4th place with a scor of 250. Wells College sits on top with a score of 316. Preliminary's for the final day start at 10 am, with the finals kicking off at 5 pm on Sunday.
