Cheyenne grant knocked down 8 3 pointers, to help CSE storm past Keuka College, 77-64 on Saturday.
The Screaming Eagles jumped out to an early lead when Amerisse Rodgers knocked down the first 3 pointer of the game, to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. Danesha Triplett added a bucket in the paint, to open the lead to 7-0. Cheyenne Grant continued her stellar 3 point shooting, knocking down for in the first half. Despite the Eagles opening up a 13-4 lead, the Storm from Keuka fought back and tied the game up at 21 with 8 minutes remaining in the half.
Alivia Roseboro had the play of the half, driving down the lane and making the layup while drawing the foul. She added 9 first half points to give the Eagles a 29-22 lead. Ashley Pledger closed out the half making a fast break layup, giving the Eagles a 34-22 lead at halftime.
Pledger quickly got the Eagles on the board in the second half, making a driving layup to give the Eagles a 36-22 lead. Triplett opened the lead to 15 when she knocked down a jumper in the paint, to give the Eagles a 45-30 lead. The Eagles defense forced 22 turnovers while committing just 13. Keuka did not go away easy as they cut the lead to 69-64 with 3 minutes remaining. Cheyenne Grant however, banked in another 3 pointer, to give the Eagles an 8 point lead. CSE did not allow Keuka to get any closer, as the defeated the Storm 77-64.
Grant finished 8-11 from beyond the arc, totaling 25 points on the afternoon. Danesha Triplett added 12 points and 9 rebounds. Alivia Roseboro also chipped in with 13 points. The Screaming Eagles return to action on Monday when the host Lancaster Bible at 7 P.M.
