Kelly O'Dell (Stewartsville, N.J.) has been chosen as the NEAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after an outstanding week for the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles. The senior forward nearly averaged a triple-double through three games last week while actually recording one to guide Saint Elizabeth to a pair of conference wins. O’Dell registered a triple-double in an 85-68 conference victory over Penn State Berks Wednesday, finishing with 16 points and game highs of 12 rebounds and 10 assists while also recording a game-most five steals. She nearly had another one in a win over conference rival Penn State Abington Saturday, scoring 11 points while registering game highs of 19 rebounds and six assists on the day. O’Dell also dished out a game-best six assists to go along with 11 boards, nine points and three steals in a nonconference tilt with Purchase College Monday, leaving her with three-game averages of 12 points, 14 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 3 steals on the week. O’Dell currently leads the NEAC in steals (35), assists (44) and assists per game (4.9) for the Screaming Eagles, who are now 2-1 in the NEAC and 5-4 overall.
