Kelly O'Dell Wins NEAC POW for 3rd Time This Season

Kelly O'Dell (Stewartsville, N.J.) has been named the NEAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week after an excellent all-around week for the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles.

The senior forward led CSE to a perfect 3-0 week in conference play with averages of 12.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 3.3 steals and 1 block per game, while also hitting all but one of her 15 free throw attempts.

O'Dell opened the week with a team-best 15 points and a game-high seven steals to go along with seven boards and three assists in a 55-45 win over Penn State Abington last Tuesday, before nearly recording her second triple-double of the season with 10 points and team highs of 15 rebounds and nine assists in addition to a game-most three steals in a 72-58 win over SUNY Cobleskill Friday. She then closed out the week with 12 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in a thrilling 85-83 win over SUNY Institute of Technology Sunday, where sophomore teammate Amerisse Rogers (Neptune, N.J.) made the game-winning layup to hand the Wildcats their first conference loss of the season.

O'Dell now leads the conference in both assists (72) and steals (55) while being second in total rebounds (165) for the Screaming Eagles, who are now 6-1 in the NEAC and 10-4 overall.
