MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- CSE senior Shannon Tipton picked up two individual victories as the Screaming Eagles closed out its final road meet against SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon. Saint Elizabeth (4-5) picked up their third North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win by an overall score of 104-47. Cobleskill dropped to a 4-7 record.
Competing in the 1000 freestyle, Tipton finished found herself at the wall first with a time of 13:44.18. Veronica Lubsen also picked up two individual victories in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle. Maria Corall would go on to place first in the 400 yard IM, beating her opponent by just .4 of a second. Tipton had her final individual victory in the 100 yard backstroke, with a time of 1:16.54. Saint Elizabeth, Kristin King sealed the win placing first in the 500 yard freestyle notching a time of 5:46.61.
The Screaming Eagles' swim again on Friday, Feb. 1 in an exhibition meet against Cedar Crest at 6 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Hall. The Eagles travel to SUNY Cobleskill for their shot to win the Conference on Thursday, Feb. 14.
