    Searches 8,450 periodicals, over half are available in full-text. 85% of content included is scholarly/peer-reviewed. Covers a wide range of subjects. Some publications available back to 1975.
  • MasterFile Premier
    Over 1,700 full-text periodicals. Publications included are a mix of scholarly, popular and trade. Also includes nearly 500 full-text reference books. Covers a wide range of subjects. Some publications available back to 1975.
  • OmniFile Full Text Mega
    2,300 full-text journals and magazines, most with abstracts and some with audio versions. Over 1,900 peer-reviewed journals. Covers a wide range of subjects. Some publications available back to 1982.
  • ProQuest Research Library
    Search 4,000 periodicals, over 65% available in full text. Database covers range of scholarly, trade and popular publications. Covers a wide range of subjects; search the whole database or limit to one or two of its 15 subject modules. Some publications date back to 1971.

    Search the contents pages of over 16,000 journals, covering 1990 to present. Full text not included, but may be available from other sources.
  • Business Source Premier
    Over 2,000 full text journals and magazines, with some dating back as far as 1886. Also provides access to company and industry reports, market research reports, country reports, and SWOT analyses. Subject coverage may be a bit narrower than in the other databases listed here. Covers business, management, marketing, finance, economics, computer science, accounting, labor, trade, and country information.
  • DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals
    Over 4,300 full-text journals, from a variety of open access publishers and organizations. Links to articles on host sites. All content is freely accessible to the public.
  • ECO: Electronic Collections Online
    Indexes over 6,300 journals across a wide range of subjects. Mahoney Library has full-text subscriptions to 130 of these journals. Subjects covered include nursing, health, nutrition, sociology, gerontology, psychology, criminal justice, women's studies, history, literature, communication, education, religion, and philosophy.
  • Google Scholar
    Google's index to scholarly materials on the web. Search results include books, journal articles, dissertations, theses, and conference papers, covering a wide variety of subjects. Links out to content on host sites; some content may be restricted or fee-based. Do not pay for any article! Consult Mahoney Library's Online & Print Journals List to find out if we have any access (print or online in another database). If we do not have access, submit an Interlibrary Loan Request.
  • Highwire Press
    This free, open-access collection from Highwire Press offers 1.9 million full-text articles. Some publications date as far back as 1993. Subject coverage may be a bit narrower than in the other databases listed here. Collection covers all areas of science, medicine and health, with a few journals in the social sciences. Collection can be searched or browsed. Most journals included have an embargo period, meaning that the most recent issues may not be included.
  • Lexis Nexis Academic
    Provides full-text access to over 6,000 news, business and legal sources. Includes U.S. news as well as international and foreign-language news. It is useful for finding book or movie reviews, country profiles, treaties, court cases, patents, federal and state legal statutes and regulations, biographical profiles, organizational and financial information on companies. Also provides a number of sources covering medicine and the health and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Sage Premier Journals
    Collection of 450 full-text, peer-reviewed journals, covering a broad range of subjects, including sociology, anthropology, psychology, criminology, political science, economics, education, management, computer science, physics, biochemistry, health sciences, nursing, religion, ethics, music, linguistics, African Studies and Asia/Pacific Studies.
  • Science Direct Journals
    Searches over 2,000 journals, over half are available with full-text. Subjects covered include agricultural and biological sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, Earth and environmental sciences, energy, engineering, materials science, physics, mathematics, medicine, nursing, health, pharmacology, arts and humanities, business and management, economics and finance, psychology and social sciences.

    Over 750,000 downloadable full text dissertations and theses, covering a wide range of graduate research topics.
  • WorldCat Dissertations
    A subset of WorldCat, this database searches all of the dissertations and theses cataloged by OCLC member libraries. Many of these dissertations and theses are available electronically, at no charge, from the publishing institution.
  • NDLTD: Networked Digital Library of Theses & Dissertations
    Archive of electronic theses and dissertations(ETDs). Search ETD collections across multiple institutions. Links out to record and full text at host institution. In some cases, full-text access may be restricted.
  • Papers First
    Index of papers presented at conferences, workshops and symposia worldwide, covering 1993 to present. Full text not included but may be available on the web.
  • Proceedings
    Index of worldwide conference proceedings, covering 1993 to present. Full text not included but may be available on the web.
