    Over 1,400 full text education journals. Covers areas of curriculum instruction as well as administration, policy, funding, and related social issues, across all educational levels.
  • ERIC

    The pre-eminent database of published research in education, ERIC contains nearly 1.5 million records and over 450,000 full text documents. Indexes both journal articles and grey literature like conference papers, government reports, policy papers, etc. ERIC can also be accessed through ProQuest, or through the public version on the U.S. Department of Education site.

    Multidisciplinary database with several education journals, most peer-reviewed, some Full Text.

    Can be useful for discovering articles. Full text not always available/free - look up the journal title on library home page to see if CSE subscribes to full text.

    Includes Education Full Text subset, with 700+ education periodicals, over 300 of them peer-reviewed.

    Covers current issues in the news, including school choice, bullying, vouchers, standards, etc. Contains point and counterpoint essays, magazine and newspaper articles, radio and TV news transcripts. POV also includes helpful guides for developing arguments, writing position papers and preparing for debates.

    Over 750,000 downloadable full text dissertations and theses, covering a wide range of graduate research topics, including education.
  • ProQuest Research Library: Social Sciences
    Multidisciplinary database with education journals and titles for children/teens.
  • PsycINFO (Ebsco)
    Psychological and behavioral aspects of education, 98% peer-reviewed.
  • Sage Premier Journals
    Multidisciplinary database of scholarly journals. Includes journals on action research, educational leadership, adult learning, assessments and measurements, special education, and early childhood.
  • Science Direct
    Multidisciplinary database of scholarly journals. Includes some journals on education, psychology, and childhood development.
  • Sociological Abstracts (ProQuest)
    Key database of the social and behavioral sciences. Searches abstracts of journal articles, book chapters, dissertations, and conference papers.

Books

Books on education have call numbers in the 370's, located on the upper floor, left side. The Young People's Collection (Fiction and Non-Fiction) is located in the same wing. Books on your teaching subjects may be elsewhere: Math (500’s), Arts (700’s), Literature (800’s), Sciences (500’s-600’s), History (900’s). Reference books are on the main floor in the Reference Room.
