Great teaching and small classes are at the heart of a CSE education. Faculty are gifted educators who care about their students and work closely with them inside and outside the classroom. Classes average only around 15 to 18 students, an ideal size for the kind of intellectual give and take that's characteristic of learning at CSE. Students at CSE learn to think for themselves, examine ideas from all sides, and take a position and defend it, clearly and confidently.
Students enjoy a range of educational choices. We offer more than 25 majors and programs of study in business, education, the liberal arts and sciences, nursing and the health professions, and other fields. Cross registration with nearby educational partners expand your academic options. And students have abundant opportunities to combine classroom theory with real-world practice by doing internships, independent research, service-learning, and other projects.
Academic Study
Our programs encourage students to explore the human experience through such activities as classes, lectures, film festivals, museum visits, theatrical and musical performances, and study abroad. Programs in this area promote critical thinking and clear expression of ideas through the study of a wide variety of topics in preparation for varied careers as well as graduate and professional schools.
