The EOF Senior Awards Luncheon was held on April 20, 2016, to recognize seniors' successes. Each student received a plaque engraved with their name and class year, and a blue sash to be worn during commencement exercises.
Student speaker Renee George recounted her time at CSE as part of the EOF program. "I did not think I was college material, but my high school counselor pushed me to try. Then I went to the EOF summer program, which was not easy! But my advisor helped me through my academic and emotional journeys. I have grown so much. We did it!"
The Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program is designed to provide talented New Jersey students who are both academically and economically disadvantaged the opportunity to attend college in New Jersey.
The New Jersey EOF Program provides support to students who are able and motivated, but requires additional preparation for college study with resources and services needed to succeed and graduate. Upon acceptance into the EOF program, you will be provided with support to maintain continued enrollment through graduation including additional funding to those enrolled in the program.
In addition to the EOF State Grant, students receive support services such as counseling, tutoring, and educational seminars and workshops.
All first-year students are required to attend and successfully complete the EOF Pre-Freshman Summer Program. This program consists of a five-week rigorous schedule of courses and workshops designed to assist students with the academic and developmental transition into a student's first year of college at the College of Saint Elizabeth.
Once in the program, students must maintain good academic standing (as per the College), and satisfy all EOF Program participation requirements.
For students seeking EOF admission for the fall semester, please file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.org after January 1 and no later than March 1. Please indicate the College of Saint Elizabeth as your "First Choice" institution. Follow instructions about submitting copies of income tax and proof of non-taxable income.
EOF transfer students are an integral part of the program at CSE. We strive to assist with their transition into a new setting and provide them with the necessary support to ensure their success. All transfer students must follow the steps below.
