The program in Computer Information Systems was established in 2007. The program offers a balance between computing technology and business, with a strong emphasis on the effective use of computers and information technology in solving problems in business.
The program provides students with a broad understanding of business, a competence in business computer programming, a knowledge of information technology, and a sound foundation in computer hardware and application software as well as computer information systems analysis, design and implementation.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems, students are well prepared for the demands of today's corporate environment,with competency in both business and computing fields.
Computer Information Systems core courses are required for all students majoring in Computer Information Systems. In addition, students must choose six courses from the following list.

Students will fulfill the capstone requirement by successful completion of one written examination, one information systems project and an oral presentation.
