Flowing from the mission of the College of Saint Elizabeth, the Psychology Program fosters students' understanding of the science of psychology, ethical decision-making, and a deeper understanding of oneself and the diversity of others. The Psychology Program is committed to developing and maintaining strong professional relationships between faculty and students in a supportive atmosphere. We hope to instill in our students a greater understanding of human behavior and psychology’s relevance to everyday life. We strive to empower our students and foster a life-long commitment to social justice.

Dr. Thomas Barrett was honored as a “Friend of Nursing” in 2012 for his longtime collaboration with the Nursing Program and commitment to health care.
Dr. Michelle Barrett, a certified yoga instructor, is currently involved in providing yoga and relaxation techniques to war veterans and active troops.
Dr. Mary Hebert is a member of “Women who Write” and is focusing on writing a children’s book about mental health and wellness.
Dr. Chloe Bland is conducting research on treatment barriers to Anorexia Nervosa and Bipolar II Disorder with Kirstin Robbins (CSE ’13) as her research assistant.
