Navigating the Waters: McVey Appointed to Top Post

Health Care Management student Lynn McVey has been appointed Acting President and CEO of Meadowlands Hospital. In announcing her appointment, the Board of Directors cited her expertise on evidence-based management as timely in today's turbulent healthcare climate.

Ms. McVey will receive her master’s degree in Health Care Management from the College of Saint Elizabeth in 2012. “With only 7 HCM credits un-der my belt,” says McVey, I was promoted to Assistant VP from Radiology Director. Thankfully, my CSE education was in perfect synch with my career. For the past five years, HCM was right next to me as I navigated the foreign waters of two more promotions. Now as Acting CEO, I hope to design my port-folio around the education I received from HCM and from my career. It has been the perfect storm of education and advancement. Thank you, CSE!”
