The major in Allied Health Studies reflects the mission of the College by preparing students in the spirit of service and social responsibility to enter into various positions in health care. Understanding how best to serve those needing health care is a primary objective of the program.
The program in Allied Health Studies and Fitness builds on a strong base of general education courses and includes in-depth perspectives on health and health care delivery. Students gain an understanding of health issues and public health trends. They learn to utilize management, organizational and communication skills in health care positions and interpret health care and disease related research and use this information to change and improve health care.
Total credits for the Bachelor of Arts in Allied Health Studies: 40 Credits
Students will complete a mentor guided, culminating research project that begins during the internship and ends in the Senior Seminar course.
