Five levels of alert have been identified by the College of Saint Elizabeth community. The current level is established by the Emergency Task Force Committee and will be posted on the Safety and Security homepage under "College Status."
These levels are meant to prepare the College for an anticipated or ongoing incident either here on campus or near campus that will affect our community.
This code system uses the same color codes and levels as the Department of Homeland Security.
Situation is normal on campus and/or when a danger or threat that existed has abated and returned to normal or Department of Homeland Security announcement of a Low Condition - Green.
Any situation that warrants a campus-wide warning which may include issuance of a timely warning notification or Department of Homeland Security announcement of a Guarded Condition - Blue.
Any situation that warrants the immediate evacuation of a building(s) which may include a bomb threat, discovery of explosive or incendiary device or fire/smoke conditions or Department of Homeland Security announcement of an Elevated Condition - Yellow.
Any situation that poses a potential risk to life, health or property and requires an elevated response which may include severe weather conditions, technological hazards or Department of Homeland Security announcement of a High Condition - Orange.
Any situation that places community members in imminent danger and requires an immediate lockdown of the campus which may include an active shooter or Department of Homeland Security announcement of a Severe Condition - Red.
