A Business Administration Major, Vi worked after graduation as Executive Secretary to the Secretary- Treasurer of General Telephone Corporation.

The bulk of her professional career, however, was in teaching. She taught high school from 1954-59, and at the College of Staten Island (CUNY) from 1971-91. Vi has rendered great service to the Church and to the College over the years.

She was one of two representatives from Staten Island to the Archdiocesan pastoral Council for five years; she also served on the Vicariate Council. She was President of the Staten Island Catholic Information Center and the Staten Island Catholic Conference of College Alumnae.

Vi is now a member of the Ladies of Charity, the Sisters of Charity Healthcare System Auxiliary, and the Pax Christi Hospice where she helps with fund-raising projects. Vi has served on the Alumnae Association's Board of Directors and on CSE's Board of Trustees.

"CSE gave me an excellent academic background for 'life in the real world.' The values of truthfulness, kindness, honesty, friendliness, and above all the love of God and man are values I received there, and that I have tried to pass on to my children and students over the years."
